If you are here, you probably already know about iTube, but just in case if you don’t know, iTube is a great app which lets you download YouTube videos and watch them while you are not connected to the internet. This feature is great because it allows you to listen to your favorite music while you are traveling.

Sure you can use Spotify and your mobile data, but that is not a cheap option, especially if you don’t have purchased any mobile data. And it also drains your iPhone’s battery quickly because you are using the internet as well as music at the same time.

YouTube’s Official app

While I just mentioned, literally 1 minute ago, that it is against YouTube’s privacy policy to watch all youtube videos offline, still YouTube’s official apps lets you save many videos for offline viewing pleasure. The only gripe about this is that you wouldn’t be able to save music videos for offline viewing because almost all of the music videos are out of that “save for offline” feature.

Then what is the benefit of this feature, you might ask. You can still save podcasts and other educational videos that can help you learn something while you are not home.

NetTube

Where YouTube’s official app for iOS doesn’t let you save mucic videos for offline listening, NetTube will let you save them. NetTube is essentially an app that is very similar to iTube, and it has the best feature that iTube had. That is to save music videos. I am unable to understand why this app is still published inside the AppStore where it is also essentially the same thing. The cool thing about NetTube is that it will also let you listen to the music while the app is running in the background.

But still, I would suggest you get this app as soon as you can because Apple can remove this app from AppStore anytime.

YouTube++

Just in case if the iTube app is deleted from the AppStore or you want the best of both worlds, YouTube++ is essentially a modded YouTube app which has some extra features inbuilt. Essentially this app is what YouTube should have been. It will allow you to download the videos and you can also save them to the camera roll, You can change the playback speed and also listen to youtube music while the app is minimized.

That sounds great, where can I get this app from you might ask. Unfortunately, this app is a Cydia tweak, and you will need to jailbreak your iPhone for that. Wait! Don’t close the page. There is a way you can install this app on your iOS 9/10 device but in can get revoked anytime or you can sideload it using this method.
