Today I’m gonna talk about different hidden benefits of an Amazon Prime membership. If you’re reading this article, you probably already have Amazon Prime, and maybe you bought it for the two days free shipping or something like that. But there’s actually a lot more to it than that.

There are a lot more benefits, so I collected 10 different ones that most people probably don’t know about. I’m going to share them with you in this article and you should definitely take advantage of these, because you’re already paying for them.
Share Amazon Prime Subscription
Alright, so this first one that I want to talk about is the one I actually just found out myself recently. Did you know that you could legally share your Amazon Prime membership with a different account? I also did not know about it.
If you come to this page, which I’ll link in the description, you can see here that you have buttons to add an adult, add a teen, or add a child. This is basically your Amazon household, so if you have two adults living in the same house, you guys can have two different accounts. But still share the same Prime membership. Which means you only pay for one account to have Prime.
Amazon Photos
Amazon photos is included with the Prime membership and it gives you unlimited photo storage and 5 gigs of video storage. So you can backup your photos and videos onto the Amazon Photos and that way you can save storage on your phone. Or just back them up in case something ever happens to your phone. All you need to do is download the Amazon Photos app and log into your account. You can get the app for your desktop, Apple devices, Android or even the Fire stick. This is totally free with your Prime membership.
Free Twitch Prime
There’s a website called Twitch TV. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s pretty much like YouTube, but specifically for live-streaming. Twitch has a premium service called Twitch Prime and since Amazon owns twitch, they include twitch prime with regular Amazon Prime for free.
Among other perks, one of the most beneficial thing is something called Prime loot. This includes free items for many games and it updates every few weeks. You even get actual free games every month. Even if you’re not a gamer yourself, maybe someone in your household can redeem these games and play them. This is a big benefit, make sure you’re taking advantage of this one.
Prime Wardrobe
Prime wardrobe is pretty interesting. If you ever shopped for clothes online, you know how much of a risk it is. Sometimes the pictures that you see aren’t exactly what you get in the mail and it really sucks to go through the return process and all that stuff. With this service it lets you pick upto 8 items and I believe it gives you a 7 days return period, before you actually even pay for anything.
So you can try on 8 items and then you only pay for what you keep. It even comes with a box and the return label, for you to send everything back that you don’t want. So you maybe really like two of the eight items, you can send six of those things back and it’ll only charge you for what you kept. So pretty much everyone can benefit from this.
Prime Reading
Prime reading essentially gives you a bunch of free books, magazines and audiobooks. It says Prime members can now read as much as they want from over a thousand books, magazines, comics, Kindle singles and more. They also include audible narration which is basically audio books where someone will actually read the book out loud for you. So you can actually listen to your book through earbuds at the gym, or on your ride to somewhere in the car. Just download the Kindle app and you can read anytime anywhere.
Prime Day Deals
Every year around the month of July, Amazon does something called Prime day. You can think of it as kind of a Black Friday, but it happens in July. And all the sales are only for Prime members. So Amazon will have a ton of things discounted on their website, and as long as you have a Prime membership, you can take advantage of the deals. Everything you buy on these days will probably have prime shipping, where you can get it between one and two days for free.
Amazon Prime Video
Next up we’re talking about prime video. I know a lot of you probably already know about it, but if you don’t, make sure to go take advantage of it. You can download the prime video app on your phone or on your fire stick or pretty much any Smart TV. Prime video is essentially Amazon’s version of Netflix and there’s actually some high quality stuff on here. It works just like Netflix at no extra cost to you, it’s definitely worth having.
Amazon Music
With your Prime membership you get access to Amazon music for free. You can download this app on your phones or your tablets or your TVs, and it’ll let you stream a bunch of songs for free. There’s no advertisements, you get unlimited skips, you can also use your echo devices to play music with this.
Prime membership only gives you a limited version of Amazon music for free, so there is a version that costs $8 a month, called Amazon music unlimited. And that will pretty much include all of the songs that they have. Just download the Amazon music app on whatever device you want and you’re good to go.
Whole Foods Discounts
If you didn’t know, Amazon actually owns Whole Foods Market, which is a popular grocery store here in the US at least. And if you have one of these near you, you actually get exclusive discounts if you’re a Prime member. Just type in “Whole Foods near me” on Google maps, and you’ll see a bunch of these little red shopping carts on your map. These are Whole Foods you can go to and use your Prime membership discount.
Free Same Day Delivery
You probably know that Amazon Prime has the free two-day shipping option, but what a lot of people don’t know is they actually have some items that are available for same-day delivery. You can come to this page and enter in your zip code to see if your location is eligible for that.
And if it is, when you go through items you’ll see on the page, before adding an item to your cart it’ll say free Amazon Prime same-day delivery. You’ll need to make sure that your total comes to at least $35 and then make sure to select the same-day delivery option at checkout. If you order something before noon, you can actually get it before nine o’clock, I believe that same day.
Free 2-hour delivery
I also want to mention the free two-hour delivery for groceries. So once again there’s a page here that you can enter your zip code and if your location is eligible for this. You can actually do some online shopping for groceries and have those delivered to your doorstep within two hours. Definitely take advantage of this service.
